YORK UNLOCKED 2023
Delighted to have been appointed as a PR freelancer to lead the second year of PR for this fabulous event in York, York Unlocked. Last year I achieved a huge breadth of Yorkshire media coverage including BBC Look North and Look North East as well as national BBC coverage and features in the Guardian and a wide range of local and regional print, magazine and digital titles. Hoping to build on this in 2023!
Join us for our second ever York Unlocked weekend. We’re throwing open the doors to around 70 fabulous York buildings for FREE on 7 and 8 October 2023. Experience familiar places through fresh eyes and uncover hidden treasures.
The event aims to showcase buildings and open spaces of merit in York and follows a hugely successful first year in 2022. We’ll have a range of buildings new and old to explore and discover. New buildings for 2023 include Bishopthorpe Palace, the Archbishop’s Walled & Pleasure Garden, St Peters School, the Star in the City and a special ‘Architecture of the Ouse’ cruise. PLUS, many favourites from last year.
York Unlocked is a registered charity run by volunteers. The event is suitable for everyone – from history and architecture lovers to families and schools.
